After obtaining his MD degree in his native Peru, Dr Tami completed his Internal Medicine an Cardiology training at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Michigan. Subsequently, he subspecialized in Interventional Cardiology and Vascular Medicine and Interventions. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and Vascular as well as Endovascular Medicine.

Dr. Tami has been fully dedicated to this field since 1993 and is currently the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory Director at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, Florida. He has participated in multiple research protocols related to Interventional Cardiovascular Medicine and is actively involved with a unique research network alliance in South Florida. His areas of special interest include Carotid Stenting and Acute Myocardial Infarction treatment.

Clavelyn Ponciano-Lavilla obtained her degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of the Philippines.  She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with specialty in Adult Nurse Practitioner at Florida International University.  She was awarded the Carolyn Zaumeyer Research Award for her thesis on “Prayer, A Therapeutic Tool of Spiritual Care: Critical Care Nurses’ Attitudes, Beliefs, and Practices.”  She presented her study at the Mayo Clinic’s Spiritual Care Nursing Research Conference, “The Contributions of Spiritual and Religious Research to the Science and Practice of Medicine.”  
Clavelyn is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and Pi Kappa Pi Honor Society.  She is a professor at Florida International University and an adjunct faculty at Nova Southeastern University, and Broward College where she teaches research, pharmacology and cardiovascular diseases. 
Currently, she is the Clinical Specialist of the Cardiac and Vascular Institute of Memorial Regional Hospital. Her overall vision is to empower bedside nurses to become leaders through shared governance and encourage them to collaborate with the other disciplines in the same endeavor.
